Barely a Memory (SE fanfic) UPDATED

Summary: To make Elena human again, Stefan sacrifices himself. Upon giving up his life, he doesn’t realize that Elena and Damon will do anything they can to bring him back. And when Stefan returns, Elena is heartbroken to learn that he no longer remembers her. Will Stefan and Elena be able to overcome the biggest obstacle they’ve ever faced? Can they start over completely?

Julie doesn’t pay attention to stefan trends, that’s fairly clear.

Next time she is on twitter, I say that we all band together and all send her questions involving STEFAN. Put your ship aside, your Klaroline questions, your Katherine questions… Let’s all have Julie HEAR US. Let’s ask her if stefan will be getting a proper storyline in season 5, because he deserves it. Let’s ask her what’s in store for stefan, let’s tell her we want actual, purposeful stefan back.

(ah ok this won’t be good, i cant write sofie like YOU! ahahah but here goes my try)
Tonight is a daddy-daughter night. Stefan finally has his darling daughter Sofie all to himself, and he is just finished giving her dinner when she begins to go on and on about her day. It’s only a matter of time before she asks if they can go to Disney World.
Stefan laughs. “Sofie, Disney world is too far away! Mommy will get mad if I take you to Disney World without her.”
Sofie pouts, and Stefan wonders how he can say no to her. She starts giving him that puppy dog look that every little kid seems to have mastered, and Stefan has completely fallen for it. For the thousandth time. “Well…,” he sighed, eyeing his daughter wearily, trying to figure out exactly how to make this work, “we can’t just run away to Disney World.” Sofie pouts again. “I guess we’ll just have to bring Disney World here.”
He sighs. This little girl has more power over him than he does. Chuckling to himself, he calls Elena. “Hey, Lena, I know you’re having a girls’ night, but I was wondering if you could do something for me.”
About two hours later, Sofie is sitting down watching Tangled. She’s mesmerized by it, and as soon as the movie ends, Stefan picks his darling little girl up in his arms and tosses her around a few times. After her giggling fit, he throws her over her shoulder and carries her outside. She laughs and says, “Daddy, what are you wearing?”
Stefan just shakes his head and leads the bubbling, blond bundle of excitement into the backyard. There are disney decorations everywhere. Out of the bushes, Elena appears, dressed in a pretty blue dress. “Mommy, you’re Wendy!” she shouts, shimmying out of Stefan’s arms so she could look around. “And Daddy! You’re Peter Pan!”
Stefan nods. The things he’d do for this kid.
Then, Auntie Katherine and Uncle Elijah appear out of the bushes, and Sofie squeals. Stefan laughs and pulls Elena into his arms, shaking his head. “You’re a great father, Peter,” she smiles.
“You’re a great mother, Wendy.”
Elena smiles and rests her head against his shoulder, staring at their daughter as she dances around the backyard. “Let’s hope she never grows up.”

It’s over. It’s actually, finally, completely over.

Stefan looks out over the sleeping town of Mystic Falls and lets out a long, deep breath. The cold weather burns his throat, but he really doesn’t care.
Sometimes, he enjoys the pain. This would be one of those times.
It’s time for him to leave; she’s unsired, human. She still wants his brother, and he’s never felt such a twisting pain in his stomach in all of his years. He expected it, he really did. But why does it hurt so damn much?
Stefan shakes his head as he takes one final glance at the place he’s grown to love and hate. He is done here. He’s never going to look back. That’s what he tells himself. And so, with slumped shoulders and a dismal pain weighing on his chest, he turns away. That’s when he hears her voice, her sweet, angelic voice that he should hate.
“You’re not leaving.” She says it as if she can change his mind. He knows she can’t.
Stefan shakes his head. He really is exhausted. “There’s no point in staying here anymore.”
Elena bites her lip, and there are tears in her eyes. “I love you.”
He almost relishes in the words. Almost. “You love Damon.”
She tilts her head down, a teardrop landing on the ground. Stefan wants to brush every last tear of hers away, but he doesn’t move. When she says, “not like I love you” he wants to break, but he already has. Instead, he simply turns and walks to his car.
“Is there anything I can say to make you stay?” she wonders aloud. Stefan pauses briefly but forces himself not to turn. They wait for a moment until he starts walking again. He thinks that maybe she has left, but when she speaks, his body freezes.
“Marry me,” she says. Simply and effortlessly, like she’d already planned these words out.
Stefan turns. His mind is reeling and he can’t think. “What?”
She repeats it one more time, and with a deep breath, Stefan knows that he’s going to stay.

So earlier I came downstairs to find my mom watching TVD fan videos on YouTube. And then I walked away —extremely confused— and she continued to watch more related videos until eventually my dad came over and watched too.
Ladies and gentlemen, my family.
I really do think Damon will turn human. I’m ALMOST positive. I mean, we all know Elena has to be fixed by the end of the season, and I don’t think it’ll be as simple as Elena taking the cure. Whatever happens, I read that it will completely change the dynamic of the trio. Damon turning human would DEFINITELY change things up. That’s my idea for cliffhanger number 1.
The second? I will tell you now that I REALLY hope it involves Stefan. He needs a storyline next season. I will not watch for another season as he stands idly by and just helps Elena through whatever it is she’ll be going through. He SAID he was going to leave; he wants to leave. And as much as he loves Elena, his mind is set. He’s tired, and he’s done. So something has to happen to keep him in MF. Maybe he dies? I’ll tell you now that I am REALLY pulling for this whole memory loss storyline for Stefan. I feel like they’ve been foreshadowing it all season (Elena saying the lakehouse with Stefan is barely a memory, Stefan saying “Do it. Erase it all. Every memory,” him asking Elena to REMEMBER). Also, since Julie said she wanted to explore Steroline in S5, I’m thinking the only way that can happen is if Stefan doesn’t love Elena (which he always will). The only solution to this would, of course, be him losing his memory. But I’m worried they will take Damon down that road instead, because in a way, Stefan already lost himself when he turned off his humanity. But we’ll see. Let’s just hope something interesting happens to Stefan.
